Why I Share My Pricing outwardly on my website (and Why Price Transparency Matters)
Let’s be honest, one of the most frustrating parts of wedding planning is trying to figure out what things actually cost. You click on a vendor’s website, you’re excited, you love their work…and then the dreaded “Contact for Pricing” wall.
For a lot of couples, that’s where the overwhelm really starts.
I’ve heard from so many people who feel exhausted by the process — not just because pricing isn’t listed, but because they can’t even get pricing from the first email. the only way to get the information is to schedule an inquiry call. And when you’re already juggling work, planning, and life, the last thing you want to do is hop on five different calls just to find out whether something is even close to your budget.
That’s exactly why I choose to put my pricing directly on my website.
clear pricing takes pressure off everyone
You shouldn’t have to guess or dig or schedule a call to get straightforward information. Having pricing upfront lets you quickly decide if a vendor is within your comfort zone before investing your time and energy.
I don’t want to waste your time — and I don’t want mine wasted either
If I’m out of your budget, you deserve to know that immediately. No awkward phone calls, no back-and-forth emails, no guilt. And on my side, I’d rather spend my time connecting with couples who already know I’m a potential fit for them. i don’t want the awkwardness of asking you your budget, going on and on for 30 minutes, and then timidly telling you it costs double what you wanted to spend. No one benefits from unclear pricing, and honestly, no one deserves to have their time wasted. Wedding planning can feel like a second job. When pricing is difficult to find, with transparency, you’re able to narrow down your options faster and move forward with confidence.
You’re not supposed to know what things cost
i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again. there is no reason you should magically know what pricing looks like and that a $1,000 photography budget is insanely low. Most couples have never planned a wedding before. It’s normal not to know whether something is $500 or $5,000. Seeing real numbers helps you understand the market without feeling confused or embarrassed for asking.
Transparency builds trust
Starting our relationship with clear expectations just feels better. It sets a tone of honesty and makes the entire process smoother for both of us. this is my first impression of showing you that i will be honest about every little thing and guide you along the way.
In short: I list my prices because I want this process to be simple, respectful of your time, and as stress-free as possible. Wedding planning comes with enough moving parts — getting pricing shouldn’t be one of the hard ones.
