What does a day of wedding coordinator do?

Some think they can do it all themselves, but do you know what they really do on wedding day? many venues are now starting to require them, and other vendors always highly recommend them. A wedding coordinator handles the behind-the-scenes logistics of your wedding day so you can stay present and actually enjoy the experience. don’t be fooled by the term, “day of.” most day of coordinators start 30-90 days out from wedding day. be sure to ask about the process when interviewing potential candidates.

Timeline Management

We create and manage a detailed timeline to keep the entire day flowing smoothly — from getting ready through the last dance. need short and simple copies for family members and wedding party? We got you!

Vendor Communication

We become the main point of contact for your vendors, handling questions, setup details, and final logistics starting 90 days out at lush. nothing operational should ever touch your inbox! your job is to relax and get married!

Ceremony Coordination

From cueing music to lining up the wedding party, we make sure your ceremony feels seamless and organized. we will also attend the rehearsal to make sure your wedding party is polished and ready to go!

Décor & Setup

We oversee personal details like signage, candles, place cards, favors, and more so everything is styled intentionally. typically, larger items, rentals, and anything outside of a few boxes of decor is not handled by a day of coordinator. they may offer to do it for an additional fee (where another assistant would come to handle it!), but if there’s anymore than a few boxes, it takes away our attention from managing your event.

Problem Solving

If something unexpected comes up, we handle it quietly behind the scenes so you don’t have to. we do everything in our power to make sure you are totally oblivious to the problems existing. we handle problems like vendor arrival times, equipment necessities, everyone being fed, timing, and more! without a coordinator, this falls on you!
